Cornelia was born in Norway in 1979. From the onset of her painting pursuits in her late teens, she has been particularly interested in rendering the human form. Her affection for the genres of interior, landscape, and especially, still life, has bloomed with time.
She achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of Victoria, British Colombia in Canada in 2003. While in University, she became acquainted with the paradigms of conceptual art, but decided to pursue classical realism. She graduated From The Florence Academy of Art in Italy, summer 2007 and stayed in Florence for two more years teaching at the FAA as a principal instructor. She currently lives in Sweden, where she teaches drawing and painting at The Florence Academy of Art of Göteborg.
This is a terrific figure painting by you.You deserve a lot of appreciation for finely executing it. Another is the one done in charcoal and chalks, which finds place in FAA's home page; but I came to know today only that, that one is also done by you. This shows the high level of talent that you have got.
I am a largely self-tought 44 years old man, an India based classical realist painter. You may see a few of my works at my website http://kamal-bhandari.blogspot.com/
I am highly impressed by your figurative and still-life works. I was looking for realistic schools that I came to know about FAA in 2007. Since then I am trying to attend some workshops there but I could not afford to pay fee. This year I got FAA's forms and hope to manage fee.
I would like you to give me an advice. Should I attend still-life workshops first and then figure painting workshop later on or the other way round and why?
Also you seem to be better in Figure painting, but have been chosen to teach still-life while Jura Bedic seems to be better in still-life but has been chosen to teach figure painting in 2010 summer workshop? Any specific reason for it?
